What are Rider Alerts?
Rider Alerts are text warnings to everyone submitted by riders just like you. To report a delay or problem, you can use this online form, or even your mobile phone while on board. If there is a Rider Alert affecting Trolley travel, it appears at the top of the page. You'll notice it.
For example, if you notice that your train has been delayed for a significant period of time, submit a Rider Alert. If the train operator starts talking over the PA, and you can't understand a word of it (but it sounds bad), submit a Rider Alert. Rider Alerts give everyone a better idea of what traffic is like on the Trolley. Like anything else, the Trolley occasionally suffers from delays, power failures, and other irritating problems. To help keep your fellow riders informed, submit a Rider Alert.
It's BetterTrolley's belief that people are generally good. We do get a few jokers from time to time, of course. The system is moderated, however, and those go away fairly quickly.
Since MTS doesn't seem to feel the same way about keeping passengers informed (with little information about train status and no way to report problems online), it's why I created this site. Please please please keep in mind that we don't operate the Trolley system. So any comments you have about service aboard or waiting for the Trolley should be sent directly to the Metropolitan Transit System.
